About
Improvement, Analytics, and Innovation Services was created in 2018 within Stanford University Business Affairs. We are an in-house consulting group serving Stanford University organizations and departments. Our teams provide expertise in process improvement, service design, facilitation, business analytics, and project management. In addition, we offer workshop and retreat facilitation, as well as trainings and coaching.

Our vision is to create, instill, and sustain a business improvement discipline throughout Stanford that delivers transformed and efficient processes and services through a structured, data supported approach.
Mission
Our mission is to identify, prioritize, and launch projects that measurably improve our business processes and services by looking broadly across the institution and through collaboration with university partners.
History of our group
Improvement, Analytics, and Innovation Services was formed from the Business Process and Metrics Analysis team in Financial Management Services (FMS) and the Service Design team from University IT. These teams were recognized as having the potential for broader impact across the university, and thus elevated within Business Affairs as a new organization. Today, we are able to provide a rigorous, integrated approach that leverages the strengths of all our disciplines to further our vision and mission.

Service Design and Facilitation
Designing quality service experiences for end-users through current state user research, design of future state experience, and facilitating strategic planning workshops.
Business Analytics
Delivering operational intelligence through data analysis, visualization, measuring impact, monitoring value, advanced analytics and machine learning.
Project Management
Providing full project lifecycle management and workshops to facilitate definition of project scope, roles and responsibilities, project timeline, charter, and more.
